Cimbi is proud to present it first annual report. 2006 was the year where Cimbi was founded, and the 2006 Annual Report has just been released.
You can download the annual report as a pdf file optimised for viewing on screen or for printing. Note that the print-version is quite large.

The research in Cimbi
focuses on the neural bases of personality dimensions that predispose
individuals to affective and substance use disorders, with special emphasis on
the serotonergic neurotransmitter system. Both PET and MRI are employed in
studies of human subjects, and these are complemented with relevant studies
using animal models. Advanced informatics techniques, new tracer compounds, and
novel serotonergic challenge paradigms are also being developed within the centre.
The research within Cimbi has been divided into six main projects, which are
1. Molecular brain imaging of the serotonergic
system
2. Genetic and biochemical determinants of the
serotonergic transmitter system
3. Relation between personality, biochemistry
and brain structure
4. Functional brain imaging under serotonergic
challenges
5. Development of a PET agonist tracer to probe
endogenous serotonin release
6. A meta-analytic approach to knowledge
discovery in molecular brain imaging
